Creative Strategist working across music, media, podcasts & events

Member Bio

I’ve spent 20+ years building things in music, media and podcasting – usually from scratch, often at speed, with a clear sense of what the work is actually for.

I started in broadcast at the BBC, then spent over a decade running a music services agency that grew from a kitchen table into a multi-national with clients across the UK, Europe and the US. After the pandemic, podcasting felt like a natural evolution – a growing medium that needed everything music had taught me about production, audiences and storytelling. I realised I’d been training for it my whole career.

Along the way I’ve led teams, founded companies, developed talent, produced content, trained businesses and managed live events. The thread running through all of it is the same – take something with real potential and give it the strategy, structure and momentum it needs to land.

My approach is refreshingly different. I bring energy to everything I do. I have a way of just getting things done and making an impact for everyone involved.

Right now I’m Commercial Partnerships Lead at Mercury – an independent network built on the belief that the best audio doesn’t come from the biggest budgets. I’m building their commercial operation from the ground up – connecting international brands with our roster of independent podcasters who have built real, loyal audiences. Whether brands want scale or targeted precision, independent podcasting delivers both. Alongside that, we’re launching Orbit – giving independent creators enterprise-level hosting, access to a premium ad marketplace, and a community of the best independent podcasters in the world. The belief behind it is simple: independence and ambition aren’t mutually exclusive.

I also work with founders and business owners under the banner of It Starts With a Podcast – offering strategy, coaching, production and guest booking for people who want to do podcasting properly. Most people building a personal brand are chasing visibility before they’ve built a voice. They’re posting fragmented content, manufacturing attention, and skipping the thing that actually works – real conversation, genuine curiosity, and the kind of depth that earns you a place in better rooms. Podcasting is the most powerful and most misunderstood first move in founder-led growth — and you don’t need an agency to tell you that. I’ve said it for years. It starts with a podcast. If you’re building something in audio, media or music and want someone who gets it done – I’d love to talk.
