Editor

Digital Sting Ltd

Job Description

Bristol | Freelance | Minimum 2 days per week

Digital Sting is looking for a talented Bristol-based Social-First Video Editor to join our growing team on a regular freelance basis.

We create fast-turnaround, social-first content for brands including British Vogue, GQ and Penhaligon’s, alongside a range of fashion, lifestyle and DTC brands.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands social editing. Someone who knows how to find the story within the footage, create pace, pick out the right moments and build an engaging narrative rather than simply cutting clips together.

You’ll need to be confident working in Adobe Premiere Pro, with a strong understanding of music, sound design, pacing, captions and creating content specifically for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and paid social.

A big part of the role will involve reviewing interviews, events and larger amounts of footage, identifying the strongest moments and turning them into polished social edits. You’ll also need to be equally comfortable following a clear brief when the creative direction has already been established.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Premiere Pro skills
• A portfolio demonstrating social-first editing
• Excellent sense of pacing, music and storytelling
• Ability to find a narrative within interview and event footage
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working to briefs and brand guidelines
• Able to work quickly when projects require fast turnarounds
• Bristol-based and happy to work with our team regularly
• Colour grading experience to a good standard is a bonus

The setup

Initially, this will be a freelance role with a minimum of 2 editing days per week, paid at an agreed day rate.

We’re looking for someone who wants consistent, ongoing work rather than occasional one-off projects. As Digital Sting continues to grow, there’s plenty of opportunity for the role and workload to grow with us.

You’ll be working closely with our small in-house production team from our Bristol studio, editing content across events, brand activations, campaigns and social-first advertising.

If this sounds like you, send over a short introduction, your portfolio/showreel, availability and current freelance day rate.

Benefits

As part of the team, you’ll also get free access to our Bristol studio spaces for your own projects, as well as access to our in-house camera and lighting equipment when available.

It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants the flexibility of freelance work while still being part of a creative production team, with access to the space and equipment to develop their own work too.
