Meet the 173 Artists: Talk with Mohammad Barrangi and Karl Singporewala RWA
Exhibition
Join invited artist Mohammad Barrangi and Academician Karl Singporewala RWA for an evening exploring the works in our 173rd Annual Open Exhibition as part of our new Tuesday Late Gallery Opening. During the talk and tour, you will hear insights about the exhibition, the artists and their exhibiting works.
Both Mohammad Barrangi’s and Karl Singporewala’s work open up a rich conversation about how memory and heritage shape the worlds we inherit and the worlds we imagine. As this year’s invited artist, Barrangi brings 1001 Nights (2026) to the heart of the 173rd Annual Open: a breathtaking centrepiece that reimagines Persian mythology through dreams, personal memory and cultural heritage. Singporewala’s Fire Worshipper (With Cake Industries) (2025) and My Hero Academician (2026) extend that sense of transformation through architecture and sculpture.
