The Role
As a Mid-Weight Full-Stack Developer, you’ll build and maintain web applications for a range of client products, working on both front-end and back-end. You’ll work closely with account managers, designers, and QA Engineers at every stage of delivery, from defining requirements through to release and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web applications and managed products, including front-end interfaces and back-end services
- Turn product requirement documents (PRDs) into well-built, reliable features
- Write clean, maintainable, tested code
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude) every day for coding, testing and code review
- Take ownership of the performance, quality and reliability of what you ship, including troubleshooting and debugging
- Take part in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Balance priorities across several projects, working with colleagues and client stakeholders
- Contribute ideas to improve development processes and stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.
Required skills
Essential
- Proven experience as a full-stack developer, working confidently and independently at mid-weight level (5 years+ experience)
- Demonstrable experience using AI-assisted development tools to deliver projects
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, Typescript, React and Next.js
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (experience with Supabase is a plus)
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Experience writing unit, integration and e2e tests with Jest/Vitest and playwright
- Comfortable using Git and working within agile delivery
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage several projects at once
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Desirable
- Experience of other coding language, specifically Ruby/Ruby on rails,
- Experience working with headless CMS e.g. Sanity CMS, Contentful etc
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures
