Member Bio

I am an Art History graduate living in Bristol who is passionate about art, writing, curation and visual culture. Originally from Manchester, I moved to Bristol 3 years ago for university and have fallen in love with the city. I aim to facilitate spaces for marginalised groups and practices, and hope to grow a community that supports this. I believe that building creative communities in Bristol, the South West, and outside of London more generally is crucial to the success of the arts. I believe that the diversification of the arts needs to be actively supported by those working in creative industries, and that this will determine the success of Britain’s creative sector. I have recently designed the set for a short comedy film, and I have worked as assistant art director on a music video for Bristol-based band The Makings. I co-curated, project managed and worked as part of the design and publicity team for Nearly Here exhibition, and I continue to co-host Lentil Soup and Eggs podcast. In July, I received a first class degree in Art History from the University of Bristol, achieved through the consistent tailoring of my work towards topics that I see as in need of research and exposure, a work ethic that I bring to creative projects.
