Karl Tynan is an Umbraco MVP with over 15 years' experience in front-end development, and almost 10 years in Umbraco development. Specialising in front-end development, user experience, and accessibility, Karl delivers quality user interfaces with great attention to detail that perform well for all users and devices. In addition, Karl often reviews and audits websites for usability, accessibility, and performance issues, highlighting improvements and small changes that can make a big difference. Karl is a co-organiser for umBristol, the Umbraco Bristol User Group, and can be regularly found attending and speaking at various Umbraco conferences and events.
Emma Garland has worked with Umbraco since 2008. She has spoken at numerous user groups and tech conferences, including Umbraco Codegarden. Emma has written several technical articles for Umbraco and Rock Solid Knowledge, and runs internal technical writing classes. An Umbraco MVP for three years running (2018, 2019, and 2020), Emma has long been involved in the Umbraco community. Since 2020, she has been an active member of the Umbraco Unicore Team, involved in the migration of Umbraco to .NET Core and specialising in the members identity work. Emma has conducted numerous health checks on existing company websites, flagging security and performance issues. She is keen on practicing Umbraco best practice and ensuring quality software deliverables.
