Job Description
We are looking for an excellent communicator, problem solver, team player, creative thinker and leaders to join us as our Account Director, or Senior Account Director level. Based in Bristol with the option of hybrid working, you would lead our PR output across our international clients in the sports, entertainment and travel sectors.
This is a unique role as Trippant looks to scale in 2024, where you will play a pivotal role in managing a growing team and portfolio of clients. The role will see you being responsible for managing the delivery of effective and creative PR solutions where you are fully immersed in understanding the client and how to get the best out of the team around you. You’ll support in growing our roster of clients and help the business to build and win pitches and new business opportunities.
More specifically, the role will require you to:
- Be an excellent communication Lead client conversations, briefs and updates
- Contribute to new business activities with existing and prospective clients
- Understand, interpret and respond to client needs, briefs in a timely manner, ensuring the team around you are fully onboard, and up to speed, and ready to support you
- Build effective communication strategies using your media and communications expertise
- Monitor the media landscape for new opportunities services to clients to enhance revenue and profitability
- Create news stories and build media relationships that will deliver coverage
- Manage and develop your team and always look to resolve problems or issues before they escalate issues
- Act as the primary contact to clients and foster relationships at every available moment
- Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges before they becoming issues
- Contribute to crisis management plans support the international team where needed
- Ensure the team understand their roles in projects, and manage their time sheeting in a timely manner
- Maintain and nurture relationships with media and ensure all information is up to date
Required skills
About You:
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to determine key priorities in a busy environment
- Proven PR agency experience with agency background
- Strong understanding and passion for media relations, PR, and communications
- Curious – a desire to learn, improve, apply new knowledge and develop self
- Excellent grasp of clients’ marketplaces, audiences and routes to market
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Commercially aware and decisive
- Organised with excellent time management skills
- Personal drive and passion for the industry
- Self-aware and able to adapt personal style and approach to clients and team
- Ability to assimilate information quickly and recommend a practical response
- Experienced in managing and working on a diverse range of accounts
- Independent self-starter
- A keen team player, easy to get on with and light hearted
- A problem solver with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
- An ambitious person keen to learn and grow
- Fluency in English is essential
- Experience working across sports and tech in some capacity (desirable)
