We’re an expanding digitally focussed marketing agency established in 2016 and are on the hunt for the next outstanding member of our team. This role of Business Development Manager role would suit an ambitious person ready to take a step from their current sales position into the exciting world of the marketing industry, or someone already working in the industry looking for a new challenge.
Reporting directly into the Directors, we’re looking for a new, valued member of our team to identify new business opportunities, attend networking events, arranging meetings (face to face or using virtual) and ultimately close deals to acquire new clients for the agency.
This is a new role as a result of the expansion of the agency and is mostly office based but could require some travel for meetings where appropriate.
Required skills
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years sales/new business experience and an understanding of the marketing industry.
- Previous experience within an autonomous self-starting business development position.
- Building and managing a new business pipeline.
- A bright and ambitious team player, with real energy and enthusiasm.
- Able to identify new business opportunities.
- Commercially focus and a basic understanding of business.
- Attend networking events to represent SONDR in the acquisition of new business.
- Building great relationships with prospects.
- Effectively communicating the needs of new clients to the internal delivery team.
- Preparing order confirmations and relevant paperwork.
- Attending client briefings/meetings and communicating relevant data/information.
