Seeking an experienced strategist and impact player, to join our strategy team.
SAINTNICKS is one of Bristol’s leading agencies, with some of the best talent from network agencies and client side businesses. We’re looking for a middleweight / senior strategist to join our Strategy & Planning Team as an experienced and insightful impact player.
Accredited as a UK Great Place to Work and B-Corp pending, we provide access to great brands and brilliant talent. We’ll take you further.
As a Strategist, you will be one of the real stars of the agency. A fountain of knowledge for all things brand, comms and marketing. You’ll be responsible for leading major projects across our client base, and setting a direction for our creative output. You’ll be a trusted confidante for senior clients, and an ally for all who work at saintnicks.
You’re a problem solver, a thought leader and a born innovator. You’re able to read between the lines and identify the real problem we’re solving within each and every client brief.
Problem solver. You’re able to read between the lines and identify the real problem we’re solving within each and every client brief. Often you’ll be asked to re-write the brief we receive from clients for their approval.
Research & Insight. You’ll be comfortable prescribing and interpreting research, and turning it into actionable insights that solve our clients’ challenges. You’ll be able to articulately interview project stakeholders, draft discussion guides and summarise discussions. Your knowledge of our sectors and disciplines will be invaluable when suggesting and writing thought leadership on behalf of the agency when required.
Creative strategy. You’ll be able to originate strategies that meet and exceed client expectations, informing award-winning creative, and inspiring new briefs from the client.
Presenting. You’ll be an accomplished presenter, leading a room in any context, commanding attention and getting the most out of attendees in meetings. Your meetings, presentations and workshops are engaging, and outcome-focused.
Showing initiative. You’re one of the agency’s leading sharers. From the latest industry news, to inspiring work and methodologies, you’re a sharer of best practice, and always keen to apply it to current agency work.
Management & collaboration. You’ll be able to get more out of individuals and teams you work with – whether or not you’re line managing them. People will go further as a result of working with you. For those that you line manage, you’ll be responsible for mapping their career progression, suggesting training, and ensuring their work is of our expected standards.
Counsel. You’ll be able to participate in deep, thoughtful conversations with senior clients about most, if not all parts of their business. Your forensic understanding of how their business works makes you credible and valuable.
You will be responsible for producing:
Strategic recommendations. The ideas (and evidence) that will take our clients’ brands further, presented in a succinct and compelling way. These will be created in collaboration with the wider strategy team to a varying degree, depending on client. These strategies will often span the following two core specialisms:
- Brand development: positioning, architecture, naming and verbal identity.
- Campaign development: platform, proposition, message development, channel planning – in collaboration with our partners in PR and Media where required.
- Counsel: advice and governance for clients’ everyday brand and marketing challenges
Pitch presentations. Winning strategic and creative responses to briefs, in collaboration with the wider agency, showing saintnicks in the best light for the task at hand.
Creative briefs. Everything you’ve learned about a client’s challenge, turned into actionable insight, and the detailed ask of our creative team. Created in collaboration with client services, and the creative team themselves, and delivered to them in a session led by you.
Thought leadership. From thought pieces on the future of our industry and trends that will impact our clients’ worlds, to lunch and learn sessions, you will occasionally be asked to contribute to raising the agency’s profile on digital platforms.
