Job Description
We are looking for a talented Mid-Weight Designer to join our dynamic team in Taunton. In this role, you will play a key part in producing strategically-driven design solutions across a range of creative, digital, and production projects for a diverse clientele. You should have a solid understanding of design principles, current digital trends, and a passion for creating exceptional visual experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Design Development: Work closely with the design team to create innovative and impactful design solutions that align with client goals and branding strategies.
- Concept Ideation and Execution: Lead the development of design concepts for a variety of projects, including print collateral, branding, websites, social media assets, and digital campaigns, ensuring they meet client expectations and project objectives.
- Visual Communication: Design engaging and visually compelling graphics that effectively communicate the brand message and resonate with target audiences, adapting your approach based on feedback and client needs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all design work is delivered to a high standard, adhering to brand guidelines and industry best practices, while managing timelines to meet deadlines.
- Trend Monitoring and Knowledge Sharing: Keep up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, sharing insights and ideas with the team to foster creative growth and innovation.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs, providing insights, and ensuring their expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Collaborative Studio Environment: Foster a culture of collaboration by engaging with team members across all levels, sharing insights and ideas, and contributing to a positive and creative studio atmosphere.
Required skills
- A degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a design role, preferably within an agency environment.
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, layout, and colour theory, with a focus on how these principles apply in digital contexts.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools, with a solid portfolio showcasing a range of projects across both print and digital mediums.
- Demonstrated experience designing for multiple digital platforms, including websites, social media, and email campaigns, with a keen understanding of user experience (UX) and interaction design.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively to clients and team members.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to producing high-quality work, with a desire for continuous learning and improvement in both design and digital trends.
