Job Description
The Head of Marketing & E-Commerce will lead and manage a small but dynamic team to create and deliver an effective marketing strategy to build consumer awareness of our growing brand portfolio; support new customer acquisition (B2B) and maximise sales through our key retail partners. You will own the timely creation and management of all marketing materials to showcase our extensive product range and support the sales team in maximizing opportunities and driving sales.
You will also oversee and drive the growth of our B2C eCommerce sales and marketing through Marketplace channels (primarily Amazon) and our own eCommerce website. This role will report to the Managing Director – UK.
Main responsibilities
- Lead and manage the marketing & eCommerce team for B2B and B2C
- Own the marketing strategy and budget for both consumer & B2B marketing
- Oversee the creation and management of all marketing materials for new and existing products, ensuring timely delivery to maximise sales opportunities
- Work closely with the sales team to understand requirements for marketing materials to help drive sales growth of both new and existing brands.
- Work closely with our retail and distributor partners to maximise marketing and promotional opportunities, supporting in sales meetings when required
- Own the development of trade show stands and associated marketing materials
- Develop detailed marketing plans for our key toy brand launches and track success
- Support on licensing pitches where required to help grow our license portfolio
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Product Development, Sales, and Design, to ensure alignment of marketing materials with product launches and business goals.
- Responsible for B2C eCommerce revenue and driving growth through Amazon marketplace and our own eComm website
- Own the B2C marketing strategy and work closely with agency partners to optimise PR, social and SEM campaigns
- Optimize performance across marketplaces by utilizing knowledge of Amazon and other marketplace platforms to maximize visibility, drive traffic, and enhance product listings, ensuring consistent revenue growth through these channels.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and competitor strategies that will inform marketing decisions.
- Track and report on the performance of eComm sales and marketing campaigns, ensuring that KPIs are met and continuously optimizing for maximum results.
- Develop and manage budgets for marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to align marketing strategy with overall business objectives and growth targets.
Required skills
- A proven track record of at least 5 years in marketing and eCommerce working with both B2B and B2C
- Deep understanding of B2B marketing in a consumer products business. Experience in a similar industry, particularly juvenile or toy, would be beneficial
- Experience in a B2C eCommerce environment with an understanding of SEO, SEM, content marketing, and performance analytics.
- Experience managing and optimizing Amazon Seller accounts, including product listing optimization, paid search campaigns (AMS), inventory management, and leveraging Amazon Analytics to drive sales growth and improve performance across the platform.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through strategic marketing initiatives.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication & leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Experience with budget management and achieving ROI on marketing investments.
